Meow - a practical exercise.

Dear Pablo and fan club members,

Phoebe really did a good job of explaining some Meow basics (I helped her). And here is your chance to practice what you have learned. Gather your people around and see if they can figure out what I am saying in this video. It's a tricky one. Pay attention to body language, eye contact and inflection.

For some reason your videos aren't coming across on our phone line here at our mountain house. I'll try to look at them when we get home to our high speed.

I usually say: "Hey! Where's my scritchie??" Is that what you say too, Monica????

I am going for phrase #2, also. Plus an added, "Do it some more!"

Monica, Great job teaching your human! Obviously she obeys well, and may even need a treat. No...wait, we don't give treats to humans, we just demand more. Keep it up! Good job!

I think that you're saying: "I command you to pet me now ... and to NEVER stop petting me ... EVER!"

Monica dear, this should be obvious to any cat or cat lover. Clearly, you're saying "give me more scritches...yes, yes...head, chin, ears. Don't stop! More...more".

Congratz on training your human so well!

Oh Monica, it was lovely to hear your voice. Kate thinks that your meowing indicates a fairly casual invitation for Tracy to engage with you. You're playing it cool, not being too needy. I like that!
