A Book Meme

I never done a meme before, but I saw that Pablo did this book meme and it looked very cool. He did a VERY BORING book. But you can see that from my favorite perch, I have lots of books nearby. I'm going to pick an EXCITING book to do this meme with.

These are the rules of the meme:
1. Pick up the nearest book.
2. Open the bok to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.

Here is my bookThat sounds like very good advice to me. I'm sure he knows what he is talking about... Here is the stuff on pg. 123:

"We resected fifteen feet of necrotic bowel and sutured together the ends of what was left. Incredibly, the patient remained stable throughout this horrendous procedure. As we began to close the abdomen, our short-lived optimism returned, at first tentatively, but then with growing intensity."

Maybe Dr. Daisy can help explain this to me... I don't understand much of what it says. But at least it is exciting!

Hi Everycat!

Monica here giving you an update. Tracy has been doing all sorts of silly things on the internet instead of helping us blog. First it was puzzles, then word games, now she's so distracted with a game called Packrat. It's sooooo boring - just click click click. that's all we hear from the computer. I have been laying a big fat guilt trip on her and I'm hoping that she will soon come to her senses and help us blog more regularly again. Pablo is counting on us to keep up his fanship! Well, while we wait, we have been watching some moths flying outside our windows.

Phoebe - Arctic explorer

Hello, my friends and fellow fan club members! Several of you have expressed concern about our lengthy absence from our blog and wondered if I was okay (since I was sick before). I want to reassure you all that I am doing just fine. I have gained back all my weight and Tracy says that I am nicely padded again. Unfortunately, I'm back to taking my steroid pills each night.

Well, it has been ages since Tracy helped any of us blog. She has been playing too many games on Facebook, but I think Monica might want to tell you about that soon.

Here are some pictures from my snowy adventure that took place about a month ago. I have seen snow out our windows before but I had never been out for a WALK in the snow. It was very exciting.First, I scanned the horizon to make sure there were no polar bears that had followed our snow down from the North Pole or something.

Then I tested my footing on that white stuff. It was a little cold and wet on my paws. I had to shake off the drips every once in a while.

I made sure to leave tracks so I could find my way back to the house...

Once I was sure that the snow was safe to walk on, I made sure to patrol my garden.

I think there was something hiding under this snowy bush, but I couldn't find it.
Tracy - I think it was melting snow drip, drip, dripping into the bush.

We took some video of my adventures in the snow. I'll see if I can convince Tracy to make it into an action movie for me.

This is my Grandma

Dear Mr. Pablo and everycat,

Do you see this lady? She doesn't usually wear that red and white hat. She usually wears a baseball hat with a feather and lots of cool buttons on it. She comes over here to my house a lot. I learned something new this month. A little after that Christmas, my man and the lady went somewheres and me, Mommyca and Feebee stayed at her house for a week. Her house is just next door to ours. Mommyca says that she is our Grandma and she is very nice. Well, that is true! She likes to play with me and she kept filling up our food dishes every day. Do you have a grandma?

Pablo Watching

While Monica and I were having problems getting Tracy to help us with our blog, Pablo was doing all kinds of interesting things. He is such a good example of how to keep his household in order. He never seems to have trouble getting Kate to comply with his blogging needs. Here he is:
Reading his Christmas card collection. He receives his own correspondence.

Creating artistic shadows. Isn't that clever of him?

Warming himself in the sun. That's a wonderful sunning spot! And such an efficient pose.

Teaching Kate how to stay cool when it is WTHFC weather.

And keeping Nick on his toes.

Pablo, thanks for your great example. Monica and I will try harder to keep our household in tip-top shape!
